April 6, 2020

I am thankful this morning that there is nothing that can keep me from the promises of God. I am kept by His power, no virus or anything else can take away my home in heaven. What are you trusting in today?

April 4, 2020

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.” Acts‬ ‭3:6-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As most of you are aware it’s been a very difficult time these past 3 weeks. My wife passed from the virus and I and my daughter have been sick from it also. I want you to know where my strength has been coming from in all of this. As in the scripture above I am not a man with riches but what I do have is faith in Jesus Christ. I trust His word to be true and faithful and am assured of where my wife is now. I am also allowing His grace to be what takes me from one day to the next. Many people have reached out to me and my family through all of this and have helped me in many ways. Like Peter in the scripture I’ve shared today all I have to truly give in return is what I know about Jesus. He can and will carry you through this if you will let Him. I pray you have trusted Him for salvation and forgiveness. If not, why not turn to Him today. What He has done for me He will do for you also!!

April 3, 2020 She is AT HOME

I have a app called life 360 on my phone. It allows e to see where my family is by the gps on their phones. My daughter Shelley has gone to get some food and I went to check and see where she was. As I was scrolling through the names there was my wife and next to her name was AT HOME. Immediately my mind went to these verses in Gods word.

“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:6-8‬ ‭

No greater truth than this, she is AT HOME in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ.

April 3, 2020 God Has A Plan

I am so glad this morning oif this reminder from God. You see, God has a plan and has from the beginning of creation been working to fulfill it. He created us to love and be loved by Him. Even when we were disobedient and brought sin into this world He has a plan for reconciliation. That plan was Jesus Christ who died for man’s sin so that we could find forgiveness. I will not go so far as to say He sent this virus into our world, but I know this, He will and is using it to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout our nation and the world and it (the Word of God) will accomplish what He has purposed for it to do. If you would like to hear more about my Savior just message me and I will gladly share His love with you.

April 2, 2020 Praying for Boldness

In the Word of God Paul asked the churches to pray that he would have boldness in his proclaiming of Jesus Christ. He also started his letters to the churches telling them that he thanked God for them and that he was praying for them. During this past 3 weeks there have been so many of you who have reached out to me and been praying for me and my family and I can’t thank you enough. Like Paul I ask that you would continue to pray not only for my comfort and healing but also that God will give me the words to speak that will encourage His children and would lead others into a relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ and I will continue to pray for Gods peace and hand of protection and healing over you.

April 1, 2020 Devine Appointments

My wife spoke to me often about divine appointments. She told me that God would send certain people into our lives. Some that we were to minister to in someway and others were sent to minister to us and to help us grow in our faith. Because I am unable to have a service for her at this time I am going to honor her by preaching a message from the word of God entitled “ Divine Appointments.” You will be able to see the message on my Facebook page at 11am Sunday morning (April 5th). I pray you will join me this Sunday as I honor my wife. We will then have a memorial service for my wife tentatively on Saturday May 2nd at 11am where I hope to get to be with many of you in person to celebrate my wife’s home going. Please share this post so that all who have been following our journey these past few weeks will be able to see it. Thank you all for your love and support in this difficult time for myself and my family.

March 31, 2020

As I’m finally unwinding from this day and have been laying in my bed reading some of the comments posted by people my wife had touched it has sunk in that there would be no FaceTime call to the hospital to pray with her tonight and no early morning call from her nurse with the update on how she did. The last words we spoke as I was leaving her side for the last time before they put her on the ventilator went like this. I said “I love you so much honey please get welll” and she responded “ but I love you more.” There have been thousands of people praying for my wife these past few weeks for her healing. I want you to know that those prayers have been answered. Maybe not the way you or I desire but God has healed her from not only this virus but every other pain she was suffering with these last few years. She is at perfect rest now with Jesus. But I’m reminded of what King David said in Gods word after he had mourned over his own sick child that died. David said “I can’t bring him back to me but I will go to him. “ There will be a day that because of our relationship with Jesus we will be reunited again. I pray that you will take away from this experience two things. First, tell those around that you love “I love you” because it may be the last thing you will get to say to them. Second, make sure that you and those you love have a relationship with Jesus and your love will be eternal.

March 31, 2020 I Have Fought A Good Fight

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭4:7-8‬ ‭

As of 10:30 this morning my wife has been with Jesus. Her fight is over! I know that many of you who have been following our story have made a relationship with Jesus our Savior and we rejoice that we will be with her again one day. But there may be some who have never made that relationship with Jesus, my prayer is that through this battle my wife and I have been through you would have not only heard about Jesus but you would see His love not only for my wife and I, but His love for you as well.
