What are you chasing after?
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Psalm 34:10
Why do you think the psalmist specifies "young" lions? It is for the same reason that Isaiah writes, "even the youths shall faint and be weary. (40:30)
There is a vitality and strength that usually comes with youth. Your mind is flexible and fresh, your body is energetic and resilient, and your spirit is confident and daring.
But even all these advantages will not save you from disappointment or pain in life. The strongest, most talented person on earth will not find lasting satisfaction, or avoid painful injury, by virtue of their strength or talent alone.
But they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Even the strongest youth will lack fulfillment and suffer disappointment, but anyone, young or old, will find success when they seek the Lord. God is able to provide what youth alone cannot achieve; God is able to give what strength alone cannot obtain.
What about you? Are you still relying on your own decisions, your own strength, your own assets to deliver you from defeat and dissatisfaction? Those who seek the Lord will find every good thing that life has to offer.

Loneness is a struggle for many people especially during holidays. When we make Jesus our Lord and Savior we have a great promise. We are never alone, when no one else will be around He is and always will be. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.Isaiah 43:2
I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20
Maybe you know someone struggling with this and you might just need to be Jesus to them.

Are You to Busy?
Sometimes we are just to busy. We run from one task to the next from the time we get out of bed until we go back to bed. Then we get up the next day and start all over again and it never seems to end. Yet often we feel as if we are accomplishing absolutely nothing! How can that be? We never get a break. Sometimes we need to stop, take a day of rest and evaluate what we have been doing and if it's working for our good, or if it's working against us. Maybe you've been to busy giving all the wrong things your priority.
“And on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.”
If you will make sure to put a time of rest in your schedule you will get more done in the long run.

As a kid I watched a program called, "Lost in Space." In the show when there was a threat to the Robinson family their robot would come screaming, "DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!" There is a message of DANGER to the people of today and it's not from a robot, it's from God!
"Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone."
God is telling Hosea that, as a prophet, he will no longer be given any message for the people of Ephraim. God will not be speaking to them anymore. They have persisted in rebellion and idolatry so long, and so unrelentingly, that God determines to leave them to their misery. What a terrifying reality this is! To be so hardened in sin that God no longer even speaks to you!
DANGER !DANGER! DANGER!
Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts" (Hebrews 3:7-8)

One Thing I Know
I live in northwest Indiana and have all my life. I've learned to take each day as it comes. No matter what season it is it can be cold or hot on any given day. Right now we are enjoying a wonderful 75 degree day when it should be 50. Really that is how life is, no promise of what the future holds, or is it? You see, there is one thing I'm certain of, those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ will live with Him in Heaven for eternity and those who don't will be sent to the hell that God created for satan.
"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
